The Working Mom Revival
My Story
I never planned to become the face of a movement. I just wanted to be a present mom.
When I had my first son, I was determined to stay home with him-but we couldn't afford for me not to work. I negotiated with my employer to let me bring him to work with me, and for a while, that was enough. Then the company sold. I was out of a job, with a baby and bills piling up.
For years, I pieced together whatever I could-side gigs, odd jobs, anything to stay afloat without putting my kids in full-time daycare. But after our third child was born, we hit a breaking point. We were on government assistance, barely hanging on. The weight of it all, the pressure, the guilt, the exhaustion finally broke me.
I remember praying through tears one night, begging god not to take me away from my kids when they needed me most.
The very next day, I got a call. I thought it was a job interview for something I had applied to months before. But it wasn't an interview- it was an offer. They told me they had kept me on the "warm bench," and they wanted to hire me now- fully remote, full benefits, exceptional pay. No interview needed. I was stunned.
That moment changed everything.
I've been with that same company since 2015. I've worked my way into leadership, and they've supported me through four kids, remote work, and thanks to COVID, homeschooling, which became one of the most unexpected blessings in our lives.
Now people ask me all the time, How do you do it?
And the truth is: sometimes, I don't. Burnout is real. The juggle is heavy. But I've learned through trial and chaos that it is possible to lead your home with presence and purpose if you have the systems, support and space for grace.
This movement is for the moms like me; the ones holding it all together with grit and prayer, who are tired of feeling like they're not enough. I built the Working Mom Revival because no mother should have to choose between her career and her calling.
Together, we're rewriting the motherhood narrative- with intention, leadership and revival.
